  •  Shepherding & Lambs at Shepherd's Cross

  • Shepherd's Cross is a working sheep farm, with several hundred head of sheep.  
  • The lambs are born in the spring (March & April) - a wonderful time to visit - Spring Field Trips
  • Observation Tower - Watch the mama ewes & wee lambs from the 4 story farm silo - "bird's eye view"
  • Learn about the sheep and the shepherd, as well as the Great Shepherd, and how we are His sheep
  • A portion of this tour is indoors and includes the farm museum and the wool mill.  
  • The flock at Shepherd's Cross is raised in the pasture and is Animal Welfare Approved.  
  • Shepherd's Cross has been raising sheep for three decades.  
  • Shepherding Tours available Mid-March - Mid September
  • Tour participants will each have the opportunity to pet the Farm Animals in the Farm Animal Petting Area (drop by visitors please request)

Four Types of Tours Available:
1.  Self Guided Tour 
  • Enjoy watching the sheep in the pastures as you stroll the grounds in the visitor areas
  • Donation Based
2.  Walking Sheep & Shepherding Guided Tour       
  • Donation based - drop in or schedule (suggested $5 per person)
  • Please Note: Walking Tour is not in the pasture with the sheep, but adjacent to the pasture per Animal Welfare guidelines
3. Wagon Ride Sheep & Shepherding Guided Tour
  • Wagon Ride in pasture with the flock -  $7 per person - must be pre-scheduled
  • holds 20 passengers per wagon load; ramp loading
4.  Covered Sheep Wagon Ride Guided Tour
  • Covered Sheep Wagon Ride in pasture with the flock -  $10 per person - must be pre-scheduled
  • holds 10 passengers per wagon load; ladder loading
