The Wool Mill at Shepherd's Cross
- The farm processes the wool and alpaca fiber that is shorn each year, when the sheep get their annual hair cut before the heat of the summer
- The wool mill is a "mini mill" and only processes their own fiber
- Wool is washed, dyed, picked, carded, spun, woven, knitted, crocheted and or felted
- The annual Woolly Weekend is the last weekend in April, and features a sheep to shawl event
- Unique antique equipment is being made ready to weave again - Dobby Jacquard looms from the early industrial era
- The museum houses a collection of spinning wheels, looms and tapestries from many eras and nations
- Wool Mill Tours may be guided or self guided, and are donation based
- Classes are available for groups or individuals - must be scheduled in advance
